Sareh Javnmardi Claims Iran's First gold Medal in Rio 2016 Paralympic Games at Shooting

Sareh Javanmardi pockets the first gold medal of Rio 2016 on the second day of competitions at the Olympic Shooting Centre in Deodoro. Improving from bronze medal in London, this time Javamardi competing in P2 (women’s 10-meter air pistol SH1) event in Rio 2016 wins the gold medal and adds the P2 Paralympic title to her prior achievements. 
She pulled away with a perfect 193.4 shot and grabbed her chance to take the gold medal.
Olga Kovalchuk from Ukraine secured silver and bronze medal went to Turkey’s Aysegul Pehlivanlar.
Javanmadi said “I have done all that I can do to tell my people that disability is not limitation.” 
 “I am very happy that I could get the very first quota for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the very first gold medal for my delegation,”
“I will do my best to improve my records in future competitions and make the people of my country happy,” she added.
Javanmardi will also compete in P4 event.
